Michael Gruener
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gruener is a highly experienced CEO, with 35 years of executive management experience, driving innovation and disruptive business models. He brings a track record of success in varied business sectors including energy, technology, manufacturing, construction, and real estate. Building great companies, with great people, and highly effective corporate cultures, has been his foundation for growing, funding, and restructuring the enterprises he leads.
Michael’s leadership experience ranges from profitable growth of 500-employee enterprises, to taking startups from cold start to private equity exits. Mr. Gruener was most recently the CEO of Motus Energy, the premier midstream energy terminal in the Port of Brownsville, Texas, delivering clockwork-like returns to the financial sponsor, an energy focused fund, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Michael was also founder and CEO of Itero Energy, an upstream focused oil & gas process technology firm, which was acquired by Energy Spectrum Capital. He has also been the COO of a publicly traded NASDAQ listed technology company, and built and commissioned large manufacturing facilities early in his career. Mr. Gruener holds a B.S. in Economics/System Science from UCLA.
